Hosea 9:11, the Twins, and the Twin Towers:
As my wife, Jill, and I were leaving San Angelo Texas in April of 2001, our pastor's wife, Olga, asked me to put in writing the things that we had shared with the Church regarding abortion. We had learned it by The Holy Spirit over a couple of years, much of which was spent erecting cemeteries of little white crosses on the sidewalks of Houston, outside the many abortion clinics there. She was not the first to encourage me to do so, but very soon thereafter, we received a similar request via the internet from a New York correspondent of a christian magazine in Nigeria. The Lord then impressed upon my heart to write the article "Come ye out from among them, my people," which is available at www.life.org.No sooner than we received the blessing on the article from our pastor and gave it to be published, Jill began experiencing terrible internal building pain. She went to the local doctor here in Burney, CA, 55 miles from Redding. He believed she was in serious condition and sent us to the emergnecy room at a rural hospital in Fall River Mills. Fall River is about 80 miles from Redding. There, the doctor discovered that Jill was internally bleeding, having had lost about twenty percent of her blood and that she was also pregnant. As he shared his conclusions, that is, that it was an ectopic pregnancy causing the bleeding, and that the baby was going to have to be removed (die), Jill immediately began to cry. Both of us and our other three children had prayed for another child just weeks earlier. I was at the other side of the bed and seemingly untouched by this terrible report, declared to my wife boldly, "you do not have to believe this, Jill." We had both walked through these types of fires many times before, and we knew from whence they came, and we knew our God. Jill listened to me as The Lord strengthened her. The doctor shook his head in a manner that conveyed, "I wish it were not so". A sonogram was then performed which could not determine, with any certainty, the location of the baby. However, the doctor was un-movable in his diagnosis, and by this time both Jill and I were to the contrary, likewise.
Just a couple of weeks earlier we had purchased a $25 helicopter insurance policy in case we needed medical transport down the mountain. Mercy Air was called to take Jill to Redding for further care. Before I left the emergency room, I asked the doctor to get my wife stabilized but not to hurt the baby. As I was leaving the hospital, a very concerned nurse ran out to the dark parking lot to tell me to give the baby to The Lord. I told her that the child was The Lord's, but I was not giving up on the baby because my God could still perform miracles. We were both in agreement, and prayerfully parted. I drove to Redding as fast as I could after getting Kimberly, a prayer warrior baby sitter, to stay overnight with our other children. As I was driving to Redding, I saw the helicopter carrying my wife but was still untouched as to the potential horror that could still unfold that night. I asked my Lord on the way, why I was so numb to the events. Had my heart gotten hardened? There seemed to be silence from Him. Then I arrived at Mercy hospital in Redding. As I approached the vacant counter (it was after midnight) a lady with a tag that read "chaplain" approached me and asked, "are you Mr. Moloney?" While following her to a narrow room, the thought that Jill had died briefly crossed my mind. Once seated, she began by telling me that the doctors decided not to wait for me, but to go ahead and operate. This was a relief. So I said, "Great! What operation are you talking about?" She said, "as you know, an ectopic pregnancy is not like an abortion." I interrupted her and jumped to my feet replying, "You cannot do this to our child! Please stop the doctors!" I moved quickly, with the chaplain in pursuit, seeking to find the operating room. Now the tears were flowing and I got my answer from my Lord. The chaplain said, "It's too late. They have already performed the operation". I kept on running and said, " It cannot be too late. You cannot do this to our child! We must stop them!" Just then, as I approached double doors, a nurse came out to meet me while the chaplin was still in pursuit. I begged her to stop the doctors. Our Lord had led me to the operating room in a very large hospital that I had never visited before. She and the chaplain went into the operating room and relayed my appeal to the doctors. They had already cut Jill's abdomen all the way across, which is hardly necessary to drain blood. The chaplain then came out to me and told me she had done as I requested, "now lets go pray." She prayed and then I preached "the article" and more to her for about two hours. Then the doctor came to us to report that Jill was in stable condition; they had not touched her tubes, and he expected that she was still pregnant. I shouted thanks to my Lord Jesus for all His undeserved faithfulness.
A couple of days later, Jill was happily home trying to recover (build up her blood), home schooling our other three children, ages 5, 4, and 2, and at the same time experiencing morning sickness. Needless to say, things could hardly have been more difficult. But, to make matters worse, I was Ironworking in Oroville 150 miles away and would leave Monday morning and return home Friday evening. Jill's next doctor visit in Redding was on a Tuesday, one month away. With the love and support from the local Church, we arranged Jill's doctor visit while I would continue working. The Monday prior to the visit, there was some confusion on the job regarding whether or not the trucker brought us the right steel. Because of this, I decided to drive home Monday evening and take Jill and family to the doctor on Tuesday. The Lord arranged for me to be the first to hear the news that He had given us a double blessing, twins. Before we left San Angelo, the assistant pastor, Tony, prayed over us, and declared to me repeatedly that the Lord was going to give us a double blessing. Similarly, the correspondent from Africa sent e-mail prayer to us (as she waited over seven weeks for The Lord to help me write the article -writing is not my gift), that the Lord would increase us on all sides. We had tremendous family joy at the hearing of twins in Jill's womb.
Then came 9-11-01. I began my Ironworking career in 1969 at the World Trade Center in New York as an apprentice from Iron Workers Local Union #40 at that time. Now I am a journeyman Iron Worker from Local 118 in Sacramento, California. I was working on the new I-5 bridge in Anderson, CA, just south of Redding when we heard the tragic news. I could not discern, at that time, any clear word from the Lord. My family and I remained at peace, having disconnected the TV completely on our arrival to California. A number of months went by and I took a job Iron Working with the inmates at High Desert State Prison in Susanville, CA.. They do most of the work, building more new prison units there. The ministry opportunity while teaching them a trade, could hardly be more fulfilling. The commute was 90 miles each way, each day leaving my house at 4:30 am and returning at 6:00pm. The scenery is beautiful over the mountains of northern California, and with number 9 of the CD "Come Heal Our Land" (the timing of its release and its message to the people of the USA is no accident; Robin Mark and Hosanna Integrity Music) while meditating on The Word, I would daily ride on the wings of angels. It was during this time, on 3-8-02, at 9:01pm, that both of our twins, Kelli Joy and John David, were born. By 9:03 am on 9-11-01, both of the Twin Towers were destroyed.
On Tuesday 3-12-02, as I was on my way to work near Hat Creek, The Lord started to impress upon me a scripture quoted in the article, "Come ye out from among them, my people". This scripture is most crucial and most direct concerning the awakening of His people, The Church. I knew the verse, but I had forgotten exactly where it was. I thought it was somewhere between Hosea 9:12 and 9:16, but The Lord kept saying 911. When I got to Susanville my time was limited, but I tried to find a complete Bible. No one at the gas store had a Bible and I just had a copy of The New Testament in my car. As soon as I returned home around 6:00pm, I ran to get my Bible and there it was, Hosea 9:11...NO BIRTH, NO PREGNANCY, NO CONCEPTION ....
I called my pastor at home that evening and his wife Olga answered. I told her how The Lord had awakened me to 911 and that I surely was hard of hearing to have missed it the previous September, as Olga had called me at that time. The article had just been released two months prior to 911 and should still have been fresh in my mind and Spirit. There is one brother in The Lord, Ross Rogers (Ross Mufler Shop, 530-335-4888), that I am especially close to here in Burney. I wanted to call him also on 3-12-02, but evenings are busy for me, home at 6:00pm, eat dinner, shower, make lunches, answer ministry e-mails, give time to our other children and my precious wife, get some rest, and get up again at 4:00am. Ross drives to Redding every Wednesday evening to minister to a men's group, and on this Wednesday evening, 3-13-02, we passed eachother going opposite directions as I was taking Jill and the twins home from Redding. So, on 3-14-02, Thursday, when I got home, there was a message to call Ross. At 7:30pm I returned his call, and being still excited about the 911 message which I had not yet shared with him, I took the lead to inform him. Then I asked him why he had called. Ross asked me to pray with him. His family was upset with him because he had taken their pet bird out of the house to the hot tub that evening. The pet bird flew from the roof of their house to his head and back to the roof repeatedly, but one time the bird landed on the sliding glass door rail. Just then, his wife opened the door and the frightened bird flew away into the night sky. We prayed for the bird to return which is not unusual for us, as a few weeks earlier, we prayed for the return of a lost dog which was found a couple of days later about 50 miles away. We also prayed that the owners would be saved.
At about 9:30pm that evening, as I returned from the grocery store, Ross pulled up up behind me, in the driveway. As he got out of his car, he said, " The Lord is all over it, The Lord is all over it." I said, "what are you talking about brother Ross?" He said, "Hosea 9:11." He took out his Bible and told me to read it. Because I did not have my glasses, I asked him to read it. There it was, "Ephraim's glory will fly away like a bird- no birth, no pregnancy, no conception...." Then Ross said to me as he shook, "the bird flew away, the bird is gone." Again, I informed our pastor's wife regarding the bird. To this day the bird has not returned. I keep asking Ross about the bird as there were reports by neighbors early on, that the bird was in the neighborhood. To me, if the bird would return, that would be a sign that Our Merciful Lord would pour out again the gift of repentance upon His Church here in America. Let's pray and hope it will be so. May Our Lord Jesus carry His people through these darkest of days with peace and joy until the shout. Amen!
